Coconut Burfi at Home: No Preservative, No Chemicals

Nariyal Burfi
Coconut Cutlets



Ingredients:

Milk Powder – 1 cup

Coconut powder – 1 cup

Sugar – ¾ cup

Milk – ½ cup

Green Cardamom Powder – ¼ teaspoons

Unsalted Butter – 2 tablespoons

Pistachios – 12 to 15 pieces







Process

  • Heat the pan on low flame and dry roast coconut powder for 2 minutes until it becomes a little Brown. Then take it out immediately from the pan and transfer it in another bowl.

  • Now add butter in the same pan. After the butter melts, add milk and milk powder into it. keep stirring until it becomes a creamy consistency.

  • Next, add sugar powder and cardamom powder. Mix it well. Keep stirring it for 2 minutes.

  • Time to add the coconut powder you kept aside into a bowl and cook it for another minute. You will see it turns into a thick paste.

  • Now, grease a plate with a little unsalted butter and put the mixture on the plate. With the help of a spatula, smooth the mixture. Time to garnish it with pistachios. Now leave it for at least 1 hour.

  • Cut the burfi pieces with a knife or pizza cutter into any shape of your choice.

  • Your own home-made coconut burfi is ready which is a perfect snack for any occasion like fasting or evening tea.
