Ingredients:
Milk Powder – 1 cup
Coconut powder – 1 cup
Sugar – ¾ cup
Milk – ½ cup
Green Cardamom Powder – ¼ teaspoons
Unsalted Butter – 2 tablespoons
Pistachios – 12 to 15 pieces
Process
Heat the pan on low flame and dry roast coconut powder for 2 minutes until it becomes a little Brown. Then take it out immediately from the pan and transfer it in another bowl.
Now add butter in the same pan. After the butter melts, add milk and milk powder into it. keep stirring until it becomes a creamy consistency.
Next, add sugar powder and cardamom powder. Mix it well. Keep stirring it for 2 minutes.
Time to add the coconut powder you kept aside into a bowl and cook it for another minute. You will see it turns into a thick paste.
Now, grease a plate with a little unsalted butter and put the mixture on the plate. With the help of a spatula, smooth the mixture. Time to garnish it with pistachios. Now leave it for at least 1 hour.
Cut the burfi pieces with a knife or pizza cutter into any shape of your choice.
Your own home-made coconut burfi is ready which is a perfect snack for any occasion like fasting or evening tea.
