Skewers are the best appetizer and very easy to prepare. Every party, I host, skewers are the hot favorite among my guests. I bet, your guests will fall in love with skewers and it will be a must go for all your future events.
Best thing is you can prepare it with whatever is available at home. Skewers are open to any experiments. You can try fruits instead of vegetables to make a fruit skewer. You can make fruit skewers by using strawberry, grapes, watermelon, pineapple or any fruits.
You can spice up your seasoning with chat masala or whatever spices you like for fruit skewers. Lets roll our sleeves to prepare this delicious and super healthy appetizer:
Ingredients:
Cherry Tomatoes
Mozzarella Pearls or Paneer Pieces
Boiled Pasta
Skewers for Piercing
**Ice Cream sticks can also be used**
Seasoning Ingredients for Vegetable Skewers
Olive Oil (Heart Healthy)
Balsamic Vinegar
White Vinegar
** All three are used in equal quantities**
Black Pepper
Salt (Table Salt or Pink Salt)
Seasoning Ingredient For Fruit Skewers
Chat Masala
Lemon
**Do not use vinegar for fruit skewers **
Mint Leaves for Garnishing (You can also use Coriander leaves or Basil)
Let’s Get Going: Quick and Easy
First, let us start with Skewers or Ice Cream sticks. Make sure the tip of skewer is pointed so we can pierce the vegetable or fruits very easily.
Start by piercing the cherry tomato in the skewer, then pierce the Mozzarella pearl or Paneer pieces. Now add a piece of boiled Pasta. Repeat same to finish your first skewer.
Follow the above step to prepare an many skewers as you want.
Now time to assemble the skewers in the serving tray to apply the seasoning.
Time to prepare the Seasoning:
Take a bowl and add Olive oil to it.
Now, add Balsamic Vinegar
Then, add black pepper, salt and white vinegar to it.
Whisk all the ingredients in the bowl to prepare the seasoning.
Apply seasoning mixture on the skewers. Flip the skewers and apply the mixture on other side as well.
To garnish the skewers, chop the mint and coriander leaves (You can also add Basil leaves). Spread the chopped leaves on the skewers. Its so tempting to eat.
Your delicious and super healthy appetizer is ready to serve.
